Optimal asset maintenance strategies
Maximizing business value in the modification of LNG carriers into FSRUs
When an LNG carrier is converted into a floating storage and regasification unit, its whole reason for existing changes. A mobile vessel becomes a stationary plant, and production uptime turns into the dominant business driver. This paper walks through how we reassessed the risk profile of one such conversion in Southeast Europe and rebuilt the maintenance strategy around it, using the data and standards already on hand. A structured risk analysis and a straightforward Monte Carlo model pointed to maintenance changes worth €2.4M a year in additional revenue, along with a risk blueprint that later FSRU projects can reuse.

Towards a “Pareto” toolset for reliability engineering in the digital age
How a small set of deliberately simple tools, Pareto analysis of bad actors, cumulative failure trends, and repair-time distributions, gets a reliability improvement cycle moving from the data a team already holds rather than waiting for new technology.

A talk on making reliability decisions when you have more data than ever. It walks through a five-step process, from framing the business problem through failure analysis and modelling to a final decision, where judgement still matters more than volume of data.
